Startup Founder 102, the second presentation of the Founder Institute in Athens, took place on February 26th at Orange Grove, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.

Jan Versteeg, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Susanna Vogt, Head of the International Office at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung opened the event, followed by Michalis Stangos presentation of the Founder Institute program. In addition, three of the program’s mentors, Kostis Stavropoulos, Christos Kaskavelis and Tasos Flambouras, offered valuable insight on best practices, strategies and mistakes to avoid.

Finally, two keynote speakers came to Greece to give advice deriving from their expertise and share their experience of the entrepreneurship ecosystems abroad. Marc Habbema, Founder of SOWISO, said “You must have a very good value proposition. People are not going to pay you unless they know what’s in it for them!”, while Roy Uhlmann, Coordinator of the E-Commerce Startups at the German Startups Association, Berlin, highlighted “Disruptive business models win. An idea is nothing, execution counts!”.
