The Smart Agro Lab is an Incubation Program designed to support startups in the agri-food sector. Its mission is to provide education, mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to funding for innovative businesses in the field.
The program is an initiative of the Smart Agro Hub skill center, which aims to enhance startup entrepreneurship by promoting the creation of sustainable businesses in the agri-food sector and smart agriculture. With a strong focus on sustainability, circular economy, and environmental impact, the Smart Agro Lab seeks to foster innovative ideas and solutions that positively affect both people and the environment.
The Smart Agro Lab follows a structured incubation process designed to support startups in the agri-food sector. The program is divided into distinct phases, starting with Call for Applications, where innovative agri-food startups apply for selection. The Selection & Onboarding phase follows, during which the most promising startups are chosen and introduced to the program. Next, the Incubation & Training phase provides participants with expert-led workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities, equipping them with the necessary tools to refine their business models. Finally, during the Demo Day, startups present their solutions to investors, industry experts, and stakeholders, aiming for funding opportunities and strategic partnerships. This multi-phase approach ensures that participants receive comprehensive support to scale their innovations successfully.
